As I Sit Here And Ponder

Sitting here, thinking about going turkey hunting this weekend, I was wondering if I will get eaten by a cougar. There have been numerous sightings here in Iowa and just the other day, a guy hit one on highway 30. Now highway 30 is a bit south of here and I am going North. However, I AM going NORTH and North is where the woods get thicker and there are more places for cougars to lie in wait for fat, outta shape, slow guys. I am sure I will look like a big camouflaged piece of jerky to a couger. So after this weekend, if you see no more posts out of me, you will know what happened.

Here is a picture of the cougar that was supposedly hit near Jefferson on HWY 30 here in Iowa (or so my buddy said).

Wish me luck.

You should just come to Wisconsin for Turkey hunting. They are having so many problems with them that postal carriers are having a hard time delivering the mail because they have been so aggressive. The state would probably welcome the relief along with those people not receiving thier mail. Good Luck!!!

@ Stacy - What?!?! The turkeys have been aggressive. LOL. I have heard of dogs and postal carriers going at it but never turkeys. That's hilarious!!!

Hilarious, but oh so true. They even showed on the news two turkeys in the middle of the road fighting and holding up traffic. They are out of control here!! :)

I saw a couple of cougars in the casino last night. They weren't that scary.

Oh wait, you're probably talking about a different type of cougar.

@Sly - I had to Google the cougar that you were talking about. I didn't know for sure what it meant. Now I do. Who said blogging isn't educational.
