Sorry, I Couldn't Help Myself - Obama Supporters

Her name is Peggy Joseph

Just in case you missed it: "It was the most memorable time of my life. It was a touching moment. Because, I, I never thought this day would ever happen. I won't have to worry about putting gas in my car, I won't have to worry about paying my mortgage, you know, if I help him, he's gonna help me."

Normally I try and keep politics out of the mix here on The Big Bald Blog, but Obama and his supporters scare me to death. From the advocates that I've spoke with, this example seems to be the norm rather than the exception. I guess it doesn't matter how you win, it's just that you win.

Here is the original broadcast.

OK, let me have it.

Oh...my...gosh! This spell they're under has be cringing. First, it's the reaction this woman has, like she just had a date with the man. Second, did he just promise her free everything for the rest of her life or what?

Didn't you know that Obama was 'the one', as announced by Oprah Winfrey? I found your blog when searching for what President Bush has done so wrong. Other than the green liberal who posted his points (which almost all of them could be boiled down to 2-3 green/liberal causes), there isn't much. Bush has done the best job he could do considering the times and thank God he has been office during this time in history. What lies ahead? We reap what we sow and people will get exactly what they have 'wished' for in the end. God will vindicate Bush and the righteous in Christ and we will all be held accountable one day.

Hey now, I'm an Obama supporter and I'm not expecting anything free, so we're not ALL like that. I'd like to comment that GW did do his best, considering the man is one IQ point above riding on the 'Special Bus'. Politics are absolutely appalling. I will be seriously happy when this is over...TODAY!!! yeahhhhh!!!

I think you Republicans misunderstand this comment.

"I won't have to worry about putting gas in my car" means...
The price of gas will go down because the Obama administration will be supporting alternative fuel initiatives. Also the big oil industries won't have a free pass to rip off the American consumers any more as they did under the Bush administration's watch.

"I won't have to worry about paying my mortgage" means...
The economy will begin to improve and she won't have to WORRY because she can finally AFFORD to pay her mortgage.

The Republicans have had 8 years to drive this nation into the ground. Huge national debts and spending. Now it's the Democrats turn to get us out of this current mess.

Now that we have every branch of the government controlled by the Democrats good things HAVE to happen right. And if they don't they certainly can't blame the Republicans. This may be a blessing after all.

Well, the Democrats almost certainly cannot do as bad as the failed economic policies of the past 8 years. I know, I know. You will lean on the last two years of a Democratic congress. However, virtually NO substantial changes have occurred in the economic policies since the big shift in control. W threatened to veto any bill that did not contain his will to be done. Now we will see what happens.

The biggest difference I see is that the Republicans inherited a country full of surpluss, and then wasted it away. They borrowed and spent in ways that even made Democrats wonder what was going on. We were attacked on their watch and initially did the right thing. However a wrong turn in policy (attacking a country that was not involved in a war), and the poorest run military operation in our country's history (see Colin Powell endorsing Obama as a better military choice) and we are now TRILLIONS of dollars poorer.

Our dollar is a joke globally making it harder to borrow more money to pay for the mess we are in.

Terrorists are stronger now than they have ever been. Our troops are still in danger in downtown Bagdad, a city where we can barely keep a "safe zone"

And finally, millions of Americans have trouble buying gas, paying their mortgage and keeping a job because of the failed policies of the last 8 years. Use racism to spin comments anyway you want. I'm white and didn't like spending $80 to fill my vehicle. I too, believe that things are going to get better. I would rather have Robin Hood in the White House than a clueless idiot with a sidekick running the show for his puppetmaster corporate buddies.

We'll see what happens. It can't get much worse. It can't be worse than Bush.

Don't forget we were in a recession from March 01 to November 01. Surplus wasn't "wasted" away.
