To Further Beat Texting To Death
OK, tell me to stop anytime. In my ongoing obsession with texting, I ran across this.
So California already had a law that preventing people to hold a cell phone in their hand right? Apparently the Governor of the Left Coast just signed a new law specifically dealing with texting.
"The new law may seem a bit redundant to one that took effect in July that banned holding a cell phone while driving. Using headsets and the like is still OK, of course...The initial law proscribed holding that cell phone up to your ear in order to make or take a call. It didn't block setting the phone on the passenger's seat or on the dashboard and pecking away while you drive" via
Those silly texters will now have to start using some kind of voice recognition software so all they have to do is talk into their Bluetooth headset and compose their text message.
OR they could just make a call.

Once again stupid laws that can never be fully enforced and just another excuse to pull anybody over. Granted I think there is some merit to the law. I think we would be better served protecting us from all of the laws the government breaks.
yeah, no kidding. Just like enacting more gun laws. Like we really need anymore laws. If you are a criminal you can't own a gun. If you are under 21, you can't own a gun. Pretty cut and dried if you ask me. How about enforcing the laws instead of making up new ones. No wonder we have to have lawyers. Can't we all just get along?
I must sadly admit that I have done some texting in the car while driving; won't be doing that anymore and shouldn't have been in the first place. Just read that the train crash in Los Angelos in which two trains collided; the engineer had sent a text 22 seconds before the crash. 25 people were killed; we definitely need such laws as us dumb texters don't have the sense enough to use basic common sense. No it can not be fully enforced, but what law really is fully enforced, murders happen all the time and they are not always caught. I agree they need to do better enforcing the laws, but in this case, I think every little bit helps.
@sjaroberts - Thanks for stopping by. I couldn't agree more. I too have been guilty of texting, well, emailing when I have been driving. It is dangerous.
