This is the second go-round of the The AdSpace Contest and I'm proud to announce that I am once again one of 10 co-hosts.

The Chow Is Giving Away 10,000 Entre Creds!

I have been trying to pick and choose what contests I enter lately so as not to consume my posting with entries. However, here is one that's somewhat worthy of your attention.

John Chow, or the guy I affectionately refer to as, The Big Cheese is running a contest that I thought I had better enter. He is giving away 10,000 Entrecard credits and since I am an Entrecard member this is worth the entry. AND for those of you who don't have any idea who I am talking about, Mr. Chow is one of a few top ranked bloggers and he makes a TON of Money doing it.

John posts his earnings every money and right now he is making about $30,000.00 per month doing nothing more than blogging. Well, it's a little more involved than that but it's still a big chunk of change.

$100 Contest Winner!

Yep, I am a little late on the draw here. WE do have a winner. Gorilla says the announcement delay was caused by a malfunctioning tube sock sensor on the dilithium capacitor, I think that it was something else. But what do I know, I don't know a lot about electronics so I guess he could be right.

Each and every entry was given a number, the total of which was 1831. Each of us then went to random.org and generated a random number. We then calculated the average of those numbers and came up with 875. The owner of this number is Rina, the author of AzrinaAznan.com and so she is our winner. Here's a little secret about me. I love to kick back and have a cigar every once in a while. There's nothing better than sitting out on the deck on a warm summer night and drawing away on my favorite smoky treat.

A while back, I ran across a site called CigarJack.net. It is a nice resource for non-biased opinions on cigars and other cigar related interests. The other day Cigar Jack contacted me and let me know that he has something special going on.

Contest Haters

What do you do when you don't' want to have a contest? You have an anti-contest. Yep, you go all out in full protest and have people email you something. Well at least that's what Andy (the other one) did.

I was making my way through some of my favorite blogs and Andy over at Stationatomica.com was having what he referred to as an anti-contest. You don't have to subscribe to anything, blog about anything or even leave a comment. You simply have to draw a picture of a unicorn or Arnold Schwarzenegger and email it to him.

So I picked the unicorn. As I was inking out my glorious work of art in MS Paint, something flashed in my memory. It was an adventure story about a unicorn named Charlie. A tale of friendship, a tale of discovery and a story of deception. I searched long and hard in an attempt to rediscover this lost tale of my youth. Then there it was in all its glory.



Use this as a guide by which you live your life. "Shun the non-believers, shuuuuunnnnnnnnnn."

Contest Update!

This Friday is the Day! For those of you who haven't entered yet, make sure you do by Friday at 4:00 CST. I will be drawing the winner that night. Since I have reached my goals already for this contest, I might as well report what I have accomplished.

One of my goals for this contest was to increase RSS subscribers - CHECK

For some reason this number is never correct. I actually have 80 email subscribers and 32 other subscribers. Giving me an actual total of 112. Given THAT number, I more than doubled my subscribers.

Another goal was to increase my Technorati authority to over 100 - CHECK


Some side effects of the contest were loads of traffic. Ok I will say CHECK to that one too.
